This may be, in part, due to links in templates for which the revised version has yet to be populated; these are automatically processed by the job queue. The current backlog size can be seen there. Null edits can alo be used to resolve these backlinks. Please do not remove entries from the list until the only remaining backlinks are from project or user space pages.
