Technical news

  • Starting on November 4, the IP addresses of logged-out editors are no longer being publicly displayed. Instead, they will have a temporary account associated with their edits.
  • Administrators will now find that Special:MergeHistory is now significantly more flexible about what it can merge. It can now merge sections taken from the middle of the history of the source (rather than only the start) and insert revisions anywhere in the history of the destination page (rather than only the start). ConfirmRollback on recent changes

[edit]

Hi! I installed ConfirmRollback.js via mw.loader.load in my ptwiki common.js. I added CSS with display: none to hide the rollback links, and it worked: on RecentChanges the links disappeared and then reappeared once the script had fully loaded, and clicking a link showed the confirmation popup as I configured.

However, as soon as I enabled the Live updates feature and the new edits came in, all rollback links disappeared and never came back. I’m assuming this is because the script’s styles would need to be re-applied as the page updates, so the display: none CSS ends up taking over.

Looking through your talk archives, I couldn’t find anyone with this exact issue. Is this the expected behaviour on pages with live updates, or am I missing something obvious?

This page is pending changes protected since 2014. I believe that 11 years of pending changes were more than enough to discourage the minimal disruptive activity on the page. Also the page doesn't receive a large number of edits. Is it possible for PCP to be removed? MrCleanAd (talk) 16:39, 27 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
