Irish spelling of South Dublin

[edit]

When writing South Dublin in Irish, if it is written alone without the prefix 'Contae' meaning 'County', it is written as 'Áth Cliath Theas'. If you want to write it as 'Átha Cliath Theas', you must prefix 'Contae' to write it as 'Contae Átha Cliath Theas'. --Lee6597 (talk) 03:47, 11 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

National Cyber Security Centre (Ireland)

[edit]

Hi, I notice you updated the article to include the move from Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications to Department of Justice, Home Affairs and Migration, but changed the address to Stephens Green, the address of the latter department. However, looking at contact details, they mention the change in department, but keep the Haddington Road address. Would the latter not be the headquarters address, with the new department in place of the old? Autarch (talk) 16:47, 14 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Apologies for commenting again - on closer examination two addresses are given:

  • 51 St Stephen's Green - under the Are you a member of a media organisation?
  • Tom Johnson House - under Can't find what you're looking for?, specifically for information not covered on the website.

So both are valid based on different circumstances. Apologies for the questions! Autarch (talk) 00:40, 15 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Irish Presidential Election

[edit]

Hey, I noticed that you are the main editor for Irish politics. There is this guy that keeps adding spoilt votes as a candidate on the 2025 Irish Presidential Election page and I was wondering if you could tell him to stop adding it as “spoilt votes” is not a candidate/nominee. Hi. Thanks for your edits. Would you mind supporting the DYK submission on 31 October? Thanks. Roundtheworld (talk) 11:26, 1 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Roundtheworld: Sure, what do I have to do? Spleodrach (talk) 14:02, 1 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Spleodrach: Thanks. See WP:DYKRI. Basically, it's just to confirm that it meets the criteria and that the topic is interesting enough.Roundtheworld (talk) 19:15, 1 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
