Damien Costas AfD[edit]Hello - I’d appreciate your input on an AfD discussion regarding the article Damien Costas. The article includes multiple reliable secondary sources from SMH, AFR, Men’s Health, and others. I’ve worked to improve it based on feedback, and a second opinion would be greatly appreciated. Template:Clerknote-accounttaken-usurp[edit]Hi Daniel! Hope you are doing well—I'm wondering if you feel like Template:Clerknote-accounttaken-usurp is still useful? I'm cleaning up Category:Username changing and usurpation templates after Wikipedia:Changing username/Usurpations was shut down. It look like it is never used (Wikipedia:Changing username/Usurpations/Completed/44 is a false positive). I lean towards a TFD nomination, but I wanted to check in before charging off there in case you had some insight as the creator :) Best, HouseBlaster (talk • he/they) 16:05, 21 June 2025 (UTC)

Get ready to submit your candidacy, or (with their consent) to nominate a talented candidate!

Open Proxy Exemption
[edit]Hi, I would like to apply for an Open Proxy Exemption. The reason I am applying is due to the recent wave of censorship here in the UK which might result in Wikipedia getting blocked here. Should that happen I would need to use a VPN to access the site therefore I would need one to edit. If you look at my history you can see my consistent history of good edits, particularly my work adding results for various London elections.
I would only need this so long as the threat of this ban is present. TheHaloVeteran2 (talk) 00:19, 27 July 2025 (UTC)
- Please follow the process listed at Wikipedia:IP block exemption#Used for anonymous proxy editing to request. Thanks, Daniel (talk) 01:27, 27 July 2025 (UTC)
- I thought the process was to either send an email or ask a CheckUser directly, such as yourself? TheHaloVeteran2 (talk) 20:41, 27 July 2025 (UTC)
- I am not actively engaged with Checkuser, so will not be actioning any IPBE requests. Thanks, Daniel (talk) 20:56, 27 July 2025 (UTC)
