Incorrect cleanup listing for Wikiproject Virginia

[edit]

Hello Bamyers99. I am a big fan of your CleanupWorklistBot, and I use it very regularly. Today I see a very strange output for WP:Virginia here. Around 75% of the articles with issues have now been marked as resolved, when it's clear that most of the underlying issues have not been resolved. I thought maybe this was a widespread issue, but I checked the output for a random assortment of other Wikiprojects, and they all appeared normal. So, I figured I would raise the issue with you, as I haven't seen anything like this before. Mojo Hand (talk) 15:21, 13 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Mojo Hand: The bot uses the sub-categories of Category:Virginia articles by quality to determine the articles to examine. There is a bug in the automatic category classification that is used for the sub-categories. It is causing the categories to be removed from the sub-categories. Example: Category:Stub-Class Virginia articles is no longer in 'Virginia articles by quality' because the template {{category class}} is not putting it into any categories anymore. The bug has been reported to the user that introduced it yesterday. --Bamyers99 (talk) 19:15, 13 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
