miscellaneous musings

After lurking on various talk pages and noticeboards and G11ing AI spam, I often wonder how GPT-4.5 passed the Turing test unless the humans in the test were made of a pliable cheese or perhaps were replaced with hermit crabs.

I reached 1,000 edits on April 10th, 2025. Sadly, editcountitis is only curable by having so many edits it no longer matters, thus leading the patient to undergo more editcountitis.

I revert vandalism by patrolling the abuse log, and usually type in the page name manually instead of bookmarking it like a sensible person. Anywho, I feel like I visit the dab page special more times per day than any other editor because I keep hitting enter prematurely.

With apologies to User:Giraffer/Sworn enemies, a good essay, I can't help imagining the IPs who subtly vandalize by changing random numbers on random articles as Bond villains fulfilling some insidious plot...
