Jan Rosenow is a German-British energy and climate policy expert. He is a Professor of Energy and Climate Policy at the University of Oxford and a fellow at Oriel College, Oxford.[1] He is known for his work on energy efficiency and the energy transition.[1]
Career
[edit]He joined the University of Oxford in 2025 as a Jackson Senior Research Fellow at Oriel College, Oxford.[2] In July 2025, the university conferred on him the title of Professor of Energy and Climate Policy. He also heads the energy research programme at Oxford's Environmental Change Institute (ECI).[1]
Recognition
[edit]Rosenow has been recognized as a leading global influencer in the energy and climate sector.[3] He was ranked the 13th most influential LinkedIn voice in the UK by Favikon in 2024,[4] and the 13th most influential sustainability influencer globally by Onalytica.[5] He is a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and the Energy Institute.[3]
