Taha A. Kass-Hout is an American physician and technology executive who serves as the Global Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of GE HealthCare.[1] He was previously the first Chief Health Informatics Officer at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).[2]

[edit]Kass-Hout joined the FDA in 2013 as its first Chief Health Informatics Officer. Independent trade coverage credited him with helping establish the agency’s open-data and precision-medicine initiatives, including openFDA and precisionFDA.[3][4]
Amazon Web Services
[edit]In 2017, Kass-Hout joined Amazon Web Services as Vice President of Machine Learning/Distinguished Engineer and Chief Medical Officer. Coverage in the Wall Street Journal and STAT News discussed AWS’s healthcare artificial-intelligence efforts, including the launch of Amazon Comprehend Medical and Kass-Hout’s comments on clinical applications of AI.[5][6]
GE HealthCare
[edit]In January 2023, GE HealthCare appointed Kass-Hout as its first Global Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Subsequent reports have cited his role in shaping the company’s data and artificial-intelligence strategy in medical imaging and patient-care solutions.[7][8]
