Comment: I have strong doubts that Turner passes the criteria, but we are very early in his career. I think WP:TOOSOON. However, the AFC he kpodesk may provide a different view if you ask there. 🇵🇸🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦🇵🇸 09:04, 8 May 2025 (UTC)

Early Life and Rugby Career
[edit]Born in Douglas on the Isle of Man, Turner later moved to British Columbia, Canada, where he was introduced to rugby at a young age. He developed through the province's club system in the Fraser Valley, spending his teens playing for Abbotsford Rugby Football Club before distinguishing himself with Burnaby Lake Rugby Club in the BC Premier League.[4] Alongside his rugby career, Turner is pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) at Simon Fraser University.[5]
In 2025, Turner signed with the Kalinga Black Tigers, a professional franchise based in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, competing in the inaugural Rugby Premier League (RPL). The team, owned by Hunch Ventures and coached by Mike Friday, is part of a broader initiative to grow professional rugby sevens in India.[6]
International Career
[edit]Turner earned his first call-up to the Canada national rugby sevens team for the 2024 Cathay/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens, where he also scored his first career HSBC SVNS Series try in a match against Great Britain.[7] In 2025, he was named to the Canadian squad for the HSBC Sevens Challenger Series, participating in all of the tournaments.[8] During the competition, he made key contributions and helped his team qualify for the SVNS Playoff held in Los Angeles alongside the SVNS World Championship.[9]
Personal Life
[edit]In addition to his athletic and academic pursuits, Turner has been active in community development. From 2018 to 2021, he served as an assistant youth coordinator for the Abbotsford Rugby Football Club, where he organized events and mentored young players.[5] He continues to give back by coaching mini rugby at Burnaby Lake Rugby Club.[5]
