Turaif (Arabic: طريف) is a city and governorate in northern Saudi Arabia. It is part of the Northern Borders Province and is located near the border with Jordan.[1]

[edit]Turaif has hot desert climate (Köppen climate classification: BWh) with long, very hot summers and cool winters. Frost during the night is common in the winter months. Snow may also fall at times. The lowest recorded temperature, −12.0 °C (10.4 °F), was measured in Turaif.[2]
