Template-protected edit request on 4 September 2025: Use semantic markup (bold → strong, italics → em)

[edit]

This renders the same visually, but adds additional cues for accessibility, e.g. a screen reader can use a different voice.

Specifically:

 • Change all instances of '''...''' to ...
 • Change all instances of ''...'' to ...

I put this change on the sandbox. I also added test cases for |yesnomaybe=.

Thoughts? FaviFake (talk) 22:55, 31 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

My thoughts would be that one thing I've learned over the years is that verbs that end in "ing" tend to be on the weak side, so I usually avoid them in order to strengthen verbiage, especially wording that shows people what to do.
