- diffhist International Phonetic Alphabet 23:26 +408 Oklopfer talk contribs (→Iconicity: - since the introduction of the chart, this has been their definition. They may be described as "lax" variants of their close counterparts, but are not always. Saying this was the "original intention" is baseless and does not hold up to the history. Small cap ɶ is a late exception, not an addition to this "rule", as it is neither near-close nor lax, just lower. I recommend reviewing https://www.internationalphoneticassociation.org/IPAcharts/IPA_hist/IPA_hist_2018.html for sources)

- diffhist m International Phonetic Alphabet 23:12 +34 Oklopfer talk contribs (→Iconicity: - We are not correcting it based on what the Wikipedia page used to say. It is objectively true that ⟨ɪ ʏ ʊ⟩ are near-close vowels, which are sometimes referred to as lax due to their less constricted tongue roots. Nowhere can I find info stating small capitals indicate lax vowels. That has only been perpetuated by this Wikipedia page. Near-close vowels being more lax than their close counterparts is positionally based. Please provide a citation that this was ever the intention.)

- diffhist Punk rock 16:45 −24 Aradicus77 talk contribs (Removed anarchism sidebar. Punk rock was not inherently political, that seems to be anachronistic if you're going to put it right next to history about the earliest bands. I feel it should be removed as that seems to be more related to anarcho-punk. Early punk scenes like those in New York, Cleveland, London, Manchester and Detroit, didn't really have wide anarchist influences. That came way later with Crass, bands like the Sex Pistols just appropriated anarchist aesthetics to offend.) Tag: Visual edit
