Dennis Scroxton Woodcock[1] was an ambulance driver in the Friends' Ambulance Unit during the second World War. He served in Scandinavia, North Africa and France and was awarded the Finnish Commemorative War medal and the French Croix de Guerre with Bronze Star.[2] He was injured in January 1945 and repatriated to the UK. After the war, Dennis was reunited with his wife, Janet Elizabeth, and returned to work in the Midland Bank. He lived out a peaceful life in rural Worcestershire with his family and passed away in May 2006.
