The Atlas of Ukrainian Historic Towns is an academic cartographic series dedicated to the reconstructions, comparative studies, and publication of cartographic and graphic reproductions of the past of Ukrainian towns. The atlases were created by researchers from scientific, municipal, and commercial institutions, including:

Lviv Branch of the Mykhailo Hrushevsky Institute of Ukrainian Archaeography and Source Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Scientific Research Center "Rescue Archaeological Service" of the Institute of Archaeology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Center for Urban History of East Central Europe,Central State Historical Archive of Ukraine in Lviv, Canadian Institute of Ukrainian Studies, Museum of Art and History of the Zhydachiv Land, Zhovkva State Historical and Architectural Reserve, Ancient Halych National Reserve, Belz State Historical and Cultural Reserve, Institute of Geoinformation Systems (Lviv).

Each volume consists of two parts: cartographic and textual. The cartographic section includes historical town maps (from the 17th–18th centuries), reconstruction maps (fortifications, sacral buildings, archaeological sites, urban development), and 19th-century town views. The textual part contains historical essays on the town's development up to the present day, along with explanations of the published plans, their archaeographic descriptions, and bibliographic references. The Atlas of Ukrainian Historic Towns is part of the European series of urban atlases published under the auspices of the International Commission for the History of Towns.

The series aims to provide a foundation for the comparative history of Ukrainian and European towns across different periods and aspects of their development. Launched in 2014, the series has published five volumes: Lviv (2014), Zhovkva (2016), Halych (2018), Zhydachiv (2020), and Belz (2022). The content, texts, and map legends are published in both English and Ukrainian.

The chief editor of the series is Myron Kapral. The current editorial board includes: Mykola Bevz, Hennadii Boriak, Myron Kapral, Kit Lilly, Heorhii Papakin, Frank Sysyn, Valerii Smolii, Rostyslav Sossa, Katalin Szende, Daniel Stracke, and Yaroslav Yatskiv.
