Homixide Gang is an American hip hop duo from Atlanta, Georgia, consisting of rappers Homixide Beno! and Homixide Meechie. In 2021, Homixide Gang signed with Playboi Carti's record label Opium, an imprint of Interscope Records. The duo is known for their high-energy delivery, unique vocal styles, and dark, atmospheric production. Emerging from Atlanta's underground scene, they have contributed to the rising popularity of the rage subgenre within hip hop.[1]

Background

Before signing to Opium, Homixide Beno! and Homixide Meechie built a cult following through their energetic performances and distinctive sound. Their breakout single, "SSN," caught the attention of Playboi Carti, leading to their signing with Opium. Meechie recalled Carti's reaction to the track: "Y’all are superstars."[2]

Career

Homixide Gang debuted with the project Snotty World in 2021, establishing their presence in the rage music scene. They followed up with Homixide Lifestyle in 2022, featuring collaborations with Destroy Lonely, Ken Carson, and 5unna. The 18-track project showcased their eclectic mix of alternative rap and Atlanta trap influences.[2]

In 2023, they released two projects: Snot or Not and 5TH AMNDMNT. The former included the popular track "Uzi Work," while the latter continued to develop their futuristic trap sound.[3][4]

Their 2024 album, i5u5we5, marked a significant evolution in their artistry, featuring standout tracks like "R50" and "HI-VOLTAGE." The album included collaborations with Lil Yachty and production from rising artist tana.[5]

In 2025, they released the single "Free Agents," produced by Pi’erre Bourne, as a lead-up to their upcoming project, Homixide Lifestyle 2.[6]
