Early life and career
[edit]Rupanty Akid was born in Manly, New South Wales. She is the eldest of three siblings, with a younger sister and a younger brother.[5] Her passion for Bengali culture, art, and entertainment led her to venture into theatre then onto the small screen,[6] where she then featured in over 15 productions in Bangladesh during her school holidays.[3] Rupanty gained prominence after playing the title role of Jennifer in Hello Bangladesh (2015),[7] after debuting in TV series Probashe Porobashi, directed by Azizul Hakim, in 2012.[8] Rupanty then went on to complete her schooling in Sydney and graduated from Western Sydney University.[9]
