Rules for editing the map

A reliable source for that specific edit should be provided.
1. A well-known source that has a reputation for neutral (not biased) territorial control coverage, can be used (is deemed reliable) for all edits.
2. A well-known source that does not have a reputation for neutral (not biased) territorial control coverage, can be used (is deemed reliable) only for edits that are unfavorable to the side it prefers (favorable to the side it opposes).
3. A source that is not well-known (or that has proven inaccurate for all edits) cannot be used (is deemed unreliable) for any edit. This includes all maps (see item 2. next).
4. Do not put source URLs in edit summaries. The references at Territorial control during the Russo-Ukrainian War must be updated before the map is edited.
Copying from maps is strictly prohibited.
Maps from mainstream media are approximate and therefore unreliable for any edit. Maps from amateur sources are below the standards of Wikipedia for any edit. They violate WP:SPS and WP:CIRCULAR.

List of captured settlements at bottom of page

It seems since late March this page no longer lists settlements that have changed hands in list format. This was convenient as the main box format list is a bit harder to navigate. 49.183.189.108 (talk) 02:52, 21 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Spit Donetsk part of the article

I am proposing splitting the Donetsk part of the article into Territorial control of Donetsk Oblast during the Russo-Ukrainian War. I am proposing this because the size of the article is too big. I personally cannot work on all of the article at once because the article will instantly crash. The Donetsk part of the article is the biggest section and has enough information for a split. I have also made a draft at User:Spino-Soar-Us/Territorial control of Donetsk Oblast during the Russo-Ukrainian War to show an example for what I am proposing, which I will also continue to work on. Timeline

The timeline of settlements has been out of date since March 30th

can someone take his time to update the timeline

Also I think we should start to research the current percentage of land captured by russia
