Not compatible with all projects?
[edit]
Hello @Czar:, I wanted to inform you that this template does not work across all WikiProjects? Maybe there is information that I'm lacking on why some projects are incompatible, but it doesn't make sense as to why only the larger WikiProjects function with the template. Surely there is something that I'm missing or misunderstanding, as nobody has seemed to say anything about it until now, implying that everybody else had found a way around it other than me. Anyways, I'm just informing you my experience. I've been editing the sandbox (and my sandbox) all too much to try to get it to work, but to no avail. What am I doing wrong? I'm sure it's something. - See the sandbox for what I refer to. It has to be something that I'm doing wrong on my end. UtopianPoyzin (talk) 03:20, 22 May 2019 (UTC)
- The template documentation says that it uses the name associated with the WikiProject's categories, so in the case of Category:Start-Class chemicals articles we would use

Red and orange almost impossible to distinguish
[edit]At least for me, the red (stub-class) and the orange (start-class) in the rainbow bar are almost impossible to tell apart. Can we have a bit more contrast, maybe by making the red a bit darker? Jens Lallensack (talk) 22:55, 21 February 2025 (UTC)
- Completely agree. This template doesn't define any of the colors; instead, it uses {{class/colour}}, which gives a wikipedia-wide definition for what the colors are for "stub" and "start", etc. They are too similar, though. There's not a lot of cases that put start color next to stub color, so it's probably better to adjust this template. I played around with it, and I think it's actually better to make the start-class color a bit more "yellow" - there's a big sharp contrast right now between start and C that isn't there between start and stub. I think #ffca66 is a good midpoint. I'll see about how to fix the module code. --PresN 01:12, 22 February 2025 (UTC)
- @Jens Lallensack: Okay, got it updated; I also overrode the A-class color, which to my eyes had the same problem with the GA green. Does it look better to you? --PresN 01:21, 22 February 2025 (UTC)
- Much better! Thanks a lot, this little change makes the template much more useful. --Jens Lallensack (talk) 01:23, 22 February 2025 (UTC)
