Draft:Shawn the Prawn (fossil)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Shawn the prawn is a fossil in the Marble Foyer in the Australian parliament House. Despite the name it is not a prawn, it is really some coral and shells. People commonly like to find it. It is on the first step of one of the 2 staircases in the Marble Foyer. The tile it is on is made from limestone.

Appearance

[edit]

It is like a prawn. It rather looks like it is doing a navasana. How people think it looks like a prawn is a case of pareidolia because the coral and shell fossils randomly arranged theirselves to look like a prawn.

[edit]

The Parliament Shop has sold many items related to Shawn such as a badge, magnets and embroidery kit.
