Kalarab Shilpigosthi (Bengali: কলরব শিল্পীগোষ্ঠী; lit. Kalarab Artists' Group) is a national children's and youth Islamic cultural organization in Bangladesh. Founded in 2004 by the renowned Islamic singer Ainuddin Al Azad, the organization works to promote and advance Islamic music and culture in Bangladesh.[1] [2]
History
[edit]Kalarab Shilpigosthi began its journey on May 27, 2004, under the leadership of Ainuddin Al Azad. Following the founder's sudden death in 2010, the organization faced a period of crisis. Later, under the leadership of Muhammad Badrruzzaman and with the collective efforts of its young artists, the organization was revitalized. Its activities became more institutionalized with the establishment of the digital platform Holy Tune.[3]
Aims and Objectives
[edit]Kalarab's main goal is to promote Islamic values through music. Its key objectives include:
- Presenting Islamic culture to the younger generation in a modern format.
- Creating a strong alternative medium for halal (permissible) entertainment.
- Contributing to the development of social and human values, patriotism, and morality through music.[4]

Holy Tune and Digital Success
[edit]Kalarab's in-house record label and production company, Holy Tune, has played a significant role in the organization's institutional and commercial success. The Holy Tune YouTube channel has nearly 10 million subscribers, for which it has received YouTube's Gold Play Button and is on the verge of receiving the Diamond Play Button. This is considered a milestone in the history of Islamic music in Bangladesh.[5]

Government Registration
[edit]In April 2025, Kalarab Shilpigosthi officially received registration from the Department of Social Services under the Ministry of Social Welfare of the Government of Bangladesh. It was registered under the name "Shishu Kishore Sangskritik Sangathan Kalarab" (Children and Youth Cultural Organization Kalarab) with the registration number ঢ-010090. [25] [26]
