Ace Flagg is an American high school basketball player for Greensboro Day School. He is currently committed to play college basketball for the Maine Black Bears.

Early life and high school

[edit]

Flagg initially attended Nokomis Regional High School in his hometown of Newport, Maine – leading his team to its first-ever state championship as a freshman alongside his brother Cooper – transferring to Montverde Academy ahead of his sophomore year, where he played limited minutes off the bench. As a junior Flagg averaged 2.6 points and 1.3 rebounds per game as Montverde won a state championship. He moved again, this time to Greensboro Day School, for his senior year, where he won his third state title in three different states.[1][2] Coming out of high school, Flagg was rated as a three-star recruit and committed to play college basketball for the Maine Black Bears over offers from schools such as West Virginia and George Washington.[3]

Personal life

[edit]

He is the twin brother of Cooper Flagg.[4] His mother also played at Maine, while his dad played at Eastern Maine Community College.[citation needed]
