Simple Plan (Album)

(Untitled) Third Studio Album is the third album by rock band Simple Plan. It is set to be released on January 29, 2008.

History

Simple Plan had just finished their international touring and set out back home to begin the writing process on Febuary 2006. On July 1, 2007, they hit the studio on and they began tracking. They started with drum tracking in Los Angeles after pre-production, then went back to Montreal to finish the rest of the recording process. During September 2007, the band had finished recording and went back to L.A. to mix the album with Chris Lord-Alge. After mixing, the band went to New York to master the album, thus finishing the building of the album. This was announced on October 21.

Simple Plan announced that their first single, When I'm Gone, would be released on October 29. For promotion purposes, the band will commence a live webchat at simpleplan.com starting at 6:00pm EST. During this webchat, the band members will be taking questions and talking about the upcoming album. Those who pre-order the album on lala.com will receive the song free to download. On October 24, Simple Plan put up a 25 second preview of "When I'm Gone" on their website.

The same day as the webchat, When I'm Gone was released digitally on iTunes. The single will be shipped to radio stations on November 2.
