Ladyhawke (Album)
Ladyhawke is the self titled debut album by New Zealand pop rock artist Ladyhawke. As of September 2008, three singles have been released from it, with the release of the album itself set for later that month.
Chart performance
The album debuted at the Australian Albums Chart at #16, falling to #31 the following week, spending two weeks inside the Australian Top 40.
In New Zealand, the album fared at #15, but sales quickly fell, dropping out the New Zealand Top 40 on its second week.
In the United Kingdom, the album debuted at #47, with sales of 3,500 copies on its first week, falling outside the Top 100 the following week.
Singles
- Her debut single was "Back of the Van", was released as a digital download in 2008, this single is the only single of Ladyhawke's not to chart.
- The second single of the album was "Paris Is Burning", it was released on 30 June 2008. It is so far her most successful single of her career, in the New Zealand chart the song debut at 40, it was in this chart for one week. In the Australian ARIA Singles Chart the song debuted at 67, before eventually peaking at 52. It was on this chart for several weeks. In the UK Singles Chart the song debut at 61, the following week it dropped 39 places to 100, it stayed on this chart for two weeks.
- The third single of the album was "Dusk Till Dawn", it was released on 15 September, in the UK Singles Chart it debut at 78, peaking just outside the top 75, it stayed on the chart for one week.
- The fourth single of the album will be "My Delirium". A release date has been announced for the UK, December 8 2008, it debut at #119 on digital downloads alone, the next week still on digital sales it rose 44 places to #75, it rose 13 places to #62 on the next weeks chart, with digital sales and physical sales it entered the top 40 at 33 making it her highest charting single to date.
