Violator (Band)

Violator is a Thrash Metal band from Brazil, formed in 2002 by Pedro "Poney Ret" , Pedro "Capaça", Márcio "Cambito" , and David Araya. After 6 years playing in the underground, the band signed with brazilian label "Kill Again Records" and realised their debut album, "Chemical Assault". Then they went on tour through Brazil and later in France, Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Venezuela, Japan, Belgium and Italy.[1]
History
The band was former in 2002 by four guys who had in common the will to make a sound that looked like Exodus, Vio-lence and Whiplash.
After a live rehearsal demo (Killer Instinct - 2002), two underground compilations (Metalvox .. 1 e Fast Food Thrash Metal both from 2003) and a plenty of gig throught Distrito Federal (brazil) and neighborhoods, Violator got the opportunity to travel to Asuncion and play in Paraguay. Among that, the band was invited as an open-act for the Thrash Metal band, Destruction (band) and American Malevolent Creation.
In the first months of 2004, the band signed with Kill Again Records label and realised an EP called Violent Mosh. The realise resulted in over 40 concerts in the next two years. Violator travel through 10 brazilian states in the Moshing With Violence Tour. One of these concerts was recorded as a DVD for the first edition of Da Tribo Rock Magazine. Violent Mosh was also the first release from the band in foreign lands. In a K7 tape version, the EP was discharged in Bolivia by Grim Art Prods. A 666 copies limited edition. In late 2005, the guitarist Juan Leda, got to leave the band to continue his studies in Argentina, his homeland. The farewell show was with Finnish thrashcore band Força Macabra.
Violator follows the beginning of 2006 as power trio. After six months locked up at Orbis studio in Brasília, the band comes up with the first full-lenght, Chemical Assault. The album release, in october of the same year, is also the return of the group with two guitars, after Márcio Cambito joins the band.
