BlizzCon
BlizzCon ist eine Messe des Spieleherstellers Blizzard Entertainment. Themen sind die drei Spieleserien Warcraft, StarCraft und Diablo.
Allgemeine Informationen
Die BlizzCon findet seit dem Oktober 2005 jährlich im Anaheim Convention Center (Kalifornien, USA) statt.
Sie wird häufiger dazu benutzt, um neue Spiele und Spielinhalte zu präsentieren.
Spieler erhalten häufig besondere Gegenstände, die sie im Spiel als Messebesucher auszeichnen. 2005 erhielt man beispielsweise einen Baby Murloc als Haustier in World of Warcraft.
Am 25. März 2010 kündigte Blizzard an, dass die 5. BlizzCon am 22. und 23. Oktober 2010 erneut im Anaheim Convention Center stattfindet. Weitere Infos zu Tickets und Preisen wurden bislang nicht bekannt gegeben.
Eine ähnliche Veranstaltung ist die Blizzard Worldwide Invitational, die jährlich in anderen Ländern stattfindet.
