Eriksen, Tor Erik Hermansen, and Ne-Yo for Knowles' sophomore studio album B'Day (2006). Co-produced by Norwegian production team Stargate and Beyoncé, the song was released as the album's third single and second single internationally in October 2006.

While it also premiered on various stations in United States throughout the week of October 162006, The official edited video premiered on BET's 106 & Park countdown on October 192006, where it was about twenty seconds shorter than the original version. Filmed by director Anthony Mandler in the week of September 11, 2006 in New York, the video is a simple story where Beyoncé's boyfriend is packing his belongings and leaving her house. Between cuts, we see her dancing, looking at herself in the mirror wearing only her lingerie and lipstick, which was compared to Christina Aguilera's Ain't No Other Man[2], singing with her band and having fun. The video ends with Beyoncé's new boyfriend at her front door, who from the back of his head and what he's wearing, resembles her real-life boyfriend Jay-Z.
Chart performance
"Irreplaceable" is already successful around the globe, entering various charts around the world. The single debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 on the issue dated November 42006 at number 87, rising 63 places to number 24 in it's second week. This caused the album B´Day to regain momentum on the album chart. It also debuted at number 42 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. It has risen nineteen places to number one in the Irish Singles chart, her second Irish number one after "Crazy in Love". The song has also risen 9 places into the top 5 of the UK Charts, landing on #5. A week later the song had a new peak in the UK moving up to #4.
As of November 7, 2006, the song has peaked at number 1 and rising up the Billboard charts rapidly.
