The Courier-Mail
The Courier-Mail is Brisbane's only daily newspaper, owned wholly by Queensland Newspapers Pty Ltd, a part of Rupert Murdoch's News Corporation holdings. It is printed as The Courier-Mail Monday to Saturday in broadsheet form, with each page having a size of approximately A2. It has offices in Bowen Hills, in Brisbane's inner northern suburbs, and is printed at Murrarie, in Brisbane's eastern suburbs.
The Courier-Mail has the fourth-highest circulation of any newspaper in Australia and the second-highest circulation of any Australian broadsheet, with 208,900 sales per weekday. 332,300 copies are sold on Saturdays. Around three-quarters of The Courier-Mail's readership is located in the Brisbane metropolitan area.
A copy of The Courier-Mail costs $1.00 on weekdays and $1.60 for the Saturday edition.
Prominent journalists and columnists include Nicholas Gruen, Madonna King, Terry Sweetman and Hedley Thomas. Its current Editor is David Fagan.
