Philip Rosenthal (Filmproduzent)
Philip Rosenthal was the creator and executive producer for the sitcom Everybody Loves Raymond (1996–2005), along-running, mature, very funny sitcom, which was co-produced by Ray Romano, and based in part on Romano's comedy material (stand up, etc.). Rosenthal's wife, actress Monica Horan (who converted to Judaism from Roman Catholicism to marry him), played the role of 'Amy MacDougall-Barone' (wife of Brad Garrett) on Everybody Loves Raymond.
It was Rosenthal and Romano who decided to retire the series over the objections or reservations of the other cast members who wanted to continue their pleasurable and very well-remunerated acting jobs on the show, which became a CBS smash hit, something not every TV series is, of course, guaranteed.
