Tadeo Nguyen Van Ly was the leader of protests for more religious freedom, which took place in Vietnam in 2000. They took place for weeks. He is a Catholic priest. He was moved to another parish, being An Truyen. In 2001 he was condemned to 15 years of prison. Hundreds of related catholics were threatened by offical people.
