Die Goldene Himbeere für das schlechteste Drehbuch wird seit 1981 jährlich vergeben. Dabei bezieht sie sich auf die Leistungen des vergangen Jahres. So wurde beispielsweise der Preis des Jahres 2004 am 26. Februar 2005 verliehen.
Hinter den Jahreszahlen sind immer die "Gewinner" der Goldenen Himbeere und die Autoren des Drehbuches genannt, in den Zeilen darunter die anderen nominierten Filme.
