Friedrich Wilhelm von Hessenstein

Vorlage:House of Hesse Prince Fredrik Vilhelm von Hessenstein (1735-1808), Swedish soldier and statesman. Illegitimate son of King Frederick I of Sweden and his mistress Hedvig Taube. Appointed Field Marshal in 1773, Privy Councillor in 1776, and a proficient Governor General of Pomerania between 1776 and 1791.

According to unofficial storys, he was the father of the illegitimate daughter of the king's sister, Sofia Albertina, Princess of Sweden, a baby girl named Sophia, born sometime during the year of 1786, a year before Sophia Albertina was sent to Germany as Abbess of Quedlingburg.
