Bacchus Motorcycle Club
The Bacchus Motorcycle Club (BMC) is a Canadian one-percenter motorcycle club whose members ride only Harley-Davidson motorcycles. The name "Bacchus" is derived from an alternate name for Dionysus, the Greek god of wine, women and song. Dionysus is also represented by city religions as the protector or guardian of those who do not belong to conventional society, as such symbolizing everything which is chaotic, dangerous or unexpected.Vorlage:Cn
The Bacchus Motorcycle Club is one of the oldest[1] one-percenter motorcycle clubs in Canada. Founded in Albert County, New Brunswick in late August 1972.[2][3] The club is also the second largest one-percenter motorcycle club in Canada.[4] The club is well respected in the biker community and firmly independent of outside influence from other clubs.[5] This has allowed the Bacchus MC to maintain friendly relationships among other one-percenter motorcycle clubs they share territory with. [6]The Bacchus MC's closest ally is the Original Red Devils Motorcycle Club. The Original Red Devils are Canada's oldest one-percenter motorcycle club, founded in Hamilton Ontario in 1948 (Not to be confused with the later created Hell's Angels Official Support Club). Much like the Bacchus MC, the Red Devils are Canadian-grown, independant and respected in the biker community.[7]<
