Antoñita Singla

Antoñita Singla (1948) a Spanish flamenco gypsy dancer (gypsy bailaora) and an actress. She often went by the stage name Antoñita La Singla or simply "La Singla".
Biography
Born Antoñita Singla-Contreras in 1948 in Barcelona, Spain in the neighborhood of Samorrostro de la Barceloneta.[1] She had an unknown medical condition shortly after birth and it left her mute and deaf.[1] It was speculated to be caused by meningitis.[2]
Singla was in the Academy Award nominated 1963 movie Los Tarantos with Carmen Amaya.[3]
