Preview In World Exploration mode, notice that only 5 characters are used and each character has a skill cooldown.

Cookie Run Kingdom is a fight in a massive RPG battle simulator.[2] In this game, the player assumes the role of cookies. When a player plays this game, they would see that each cookie has had a unique character. Of course, while you play, our cookie skills will improve, allowing us to go to a harder level. There are two main types of character upgrades: cookie level up and cookie promotion. The gameplay in this game is divided into two main types are Kingdom Development and Adventure. Each adventure requires a team that is appropriate for each stage. If we can't go through the stage, we may use treasures, which are in-game items, that improve the team's powers. You can find materials to enhance your character's abilities by raiding the levels or harvesting them from the Cookie Mansion.

In the beginning, you are given a piece of land on which to develop buildings and amenities to aid in the collection of resources[3] and the first buildings we will receive are Cookie Castle, Fountain of Abundance, and Tree of Wishes. To unlock more items, create more resources, and progress quickly, you will level up the cookie castle, production buildings, and the fountain of abundance.[4] All we have to do is to build additional buildings to use in obtaining resources to trade and upgrade other buildings. Buildings can be divided into two types: Developing Kingdoms and Level Up Cookies. The cookie mansion is a resource-giving building that provides you an EXP Star Jelly Lv.1 for leveling up your cookies. A building used to develop a kingdom, this is used to develop a kingdom, and the product of the building can be used to create other buildings. These products will be stored in storage. If your storage is nearly full, you won't be able to add more collecting items, you must have to expand it, use it, or sell it. In upgrading Cookie Castle, there are two parts: materials for upgrades and missions, in which we must collect items and complete missions to upgrade it. You will be able to upgrade the Fountain of Abundance when you have upgraded the Cookie Castle. When the building is filling the area, you will need to expand the Cookie Kingdom's area. There are two ways to achieve this: using items to unlock areas or forming a cookie attack team to seize the area.

Cookies that players can use can be divided into eight lines: Power, Ambush, Defense, Magic, Ranged, Bomber, Support, and Healing. The treasures are divided into two types, Passive and Active. And the last part is to form a team, you can use no more than five cookies and no more than three treasures per adventure. In your team the line of cookies can be duplicated. The adventure is divided into seven main categories: World Exploration, Kingdom Arena, Today's Bounties, Tower of Sweet Chaos, Tropical Soda Islands, Guild Battle, and General Events. In each mode, cookies must be paired in the appropriate order to pass.

Modes

World Exploration - This adventure will comprise exploring world maps and unlocking the story. You will form a raid team in ways to collect rewards which will be used to upgrade your cookies. The more difficult the checkpoint, the better. The reward will be even greater. Some stages require items from the kingdom to unlock it.

Kingdom Arena - This adventure is a challenge for each player, where you can be an attacker or defender. You will need to form two types of teams: the attacking team and the defense team to collect trophies to unlock rankings. The arena mode rewards you with free crystals based on your rankings.[4] At The end of the season, players will receive rank rewards. The higher the rank, the better the reward. Each attack requires Arena Tickets to fight. If you win a battle, you will receive a trophy. But if you lose the battle, lose the trophy. Whether you win or lose, you will earn Arena Medals to use in the Medal Shop.

Today's Bounties - This adventure is to go through levels to collect resources that can be used to increase the skills of the cookies. The level is unlocked at level 1 at first. Before you can collect the resources at the next level, you should first clear the current level.

Tower of Sweet Chaos - The goal of this adventure is to receive rewards through attacking the towers. There are many levels from which to choose, ranging from simple to difficult. To pass a level, you should follow the rules for that level. Therefore, the higher the level, the greater the rewards. The rewards are EXP Star Jelly, which can be used to level up characters, Coins, and Chaos Cake Pieces, which could be used to buy kingdom decorations and building upgrades, which enhance passive abilities with cookies.

Tropical Soda Islands - In this adventure players should collect Caramel Spyglass and Map Fragments to unlock areas. When successfully unlocked, you will receive one among two types of items: Islands or Treasure Chests, both of which will have cookie upgrade items.

Guild Battle - The goal of this adventure is to fight the Red Velvet Dragon boss by taking the help of guild members. The higher level dragons you defeat, the better your rewards will be. And there is a guild random system in this mode, where items obtained by defeating dragon bosses are used to random Gacha Guild.

General Events - The activities will be held for a limited time on special occasions. Players must complete activities only during the allocated time. The reward depends on the nature of the event, the rewards will take various forms. Special rewards will be limited-edition items that can only be received during the event, such as the Sonic Cookie at Sonic's Green Hill activity.

Definitions of Role-Play

  • “A role-playing situation is here defined as a situation in which an individual is explicitly asked to take a role not normally his own, or [of] his own in a setting not normal for the enactment of the role” (Mann 1956, 227). [5]
  • Role-play is “not a single well-defined activity but a whole species of activities grouped under a convenient name. At one end of the spectrum is the intensive ‘acting out’ of personal emotions. … At the other … is the situation where ‘taking the part’ is closer to the concept of advocacy” (van Ments 1981, 27-28).[5]
  • Role-play is “a media, where a person, through immersion into a role and the world of this role, is given the opportunity to participate in and interact with the contents of this world” (Henriksen 2002, 44).[5]
  • “roleplaying is the art of experience, and making a roleplaying game means creating experiences” (Pettersson 2006, 101).[5]
