Temasek Polytechnic

Temasek Polytechnic (Abbreviation: TP; Chinese: 淡馬錫理工學院; Malay: Poli-tek-nik Temasek) is the third polytechnic to be set up in Singapore. The polytechnic was established on 6 April 1990. It has a 30-hectare campus, which is approximately equivalent to 33 international-size football fields. Located in the east of Singapore, overlooking the scenic Bedok Reservoir, TP's campus places particular emphasis on the preservation of the natural environmental heritage. Temasek Polytechnic has around 15,000 full time students and more than 1,200 academic staff.
Academic Schools
Temasek Polytechnic has 7 academic schools including the tourism academy (Tourism Academy) located in SENTOSA :
+ = Students have the option to select 1 of these 3 courses after their first year of study. Based on their choice, aptitude and academic performance, students will be clustered into their respective choice of course in their second year.
Campus Features
Temasek Polytechnic's state-of-the-art campus, was designed by the late architect Sir James Stirling. TP's campus features include:

- Prior to the construction of the National Library, Singapore in 2005, Temasek Polytechnic Library has been the tallest library in Singapore. TP Library has eight above-ground levels.
- Temasek Polytechnic has six cafeterias, a large number compared to other polytechnics in Singapore.
