Kick no Oni (which means "The demon of kickboxing", written by Ikki Kajiwara) was based on Tadashi Sawamura.[1]
History
Written by Ikki Kajiwara and illustrated by Kentaro Nakajiro , the manga was published in 1969 in the magazine " Shonen Gaho "[2] won an anime version produced between the years 1970 and 1971 by Toei Animation.[3] Ikki Kajiwara is known by other martial arts manga , one of them, Ashita no Joe , illustrated by Tetsuya Chiba and published between 1968 1973 in Weekly Shōnen Magazine.[4]
Plot
The series chronicled the true story of Tadashi Sawamura fighter after a defeat by a kickboxer fighter , then karate fighter , decides learn kickboxer.[3]
