Vorlage:Infobox television Bride of the Water God 2017 (Vorlage:Ko-hhrm) is an upcoming South Korean television drama spin-off of the 2006 sunjung manhwa Bride of the Water God by Yoon Mi-kyung. The drama stars Shin Se-kyung, Nam Joo-hyuk, Lim Ju-hwan, Krystal Jung and Gong Myung. It will air on cable channel tvN every Monday and Tuesday starting July 3, 2017.[1][2]

Synopsis

Story about a female doctor named So-ah (Shin Se-kyung) who is dramatically realistic. She get offered up as a sacrifice to the water god Ha Baek (Nam Joo-hyuk), and becomes his slave.[3][4]

A wind god who loves Hye-ra, despite knowing that she loves Ha Baek.

Special appearance

Production

First announced in 2015, the live action version of the manhwa is written by Jung Yoon-jung, writer of the dramas Misaeng, Monstar and Arang and the Magistrate. The series will relocate the characters and story to modern day Seoul.[7]

First script reading took place March 16 in Sangam-dong, Seoul, South Korea.[8]Principal photography began in March.[1]
