NBA 2K

NBA 2K is a basketball video game for the Dreamcast. It was Sega's first foray into the basketball-game market since the Genesis' heyday; it was also the first title to legitimately challenge Electronic Arts Sports' NBA Live series for console hoops supremacy. Critics generally regard NBA 2K as being far superior to EA's product, as the graphics, animation, sound, and 3D arena-environment in 2K were far beyond anything gamers had ever seen in a basketball sim. NBA 2K would ultimately spawn NBA 2K1 and NBA 2K2 for Dreamcast, plus the ESPN NBA Basketball series for the next-generation consoles.
