Finnische Eishockeynationalmannschaft

Finnischer Nationaltorwart bei der WM 2005

Die Finnische Eishockeynationalmannschaft ist eine der führenden Nationalmannschaften in der Welt und derzeit auf Platz 7 der IIHF-Weltrangliste. Geführt wird sie durch die "Finnish Ice Hockey Association". Finnlands einziger wichtiger Turniergewinn war die Eishockey-Weltmeisterschaft 1995. Bei den Olympischen Winterspielen 1988 und 2006 konnten sie die Silbermedaille gewinnen.
Beim World Cup of Hockey 2004, wurden sie zweiter, nachdem sie das Halbfinale gegen die USA gewinnen konnten und das Finale gegen Kanada verloren. Darüber hinaus konnten sie 2002/2003 und 2003/2004 den Rosno Cup gewinnen, sowie 1996/97 und 1999/2000 bis 2003/2004 die Euro Hockey Tour .
