hallo braveheart,

danke für die mühe mit dem kommentar anstelle einer stillen intervention.

inhaltlich verstehe ich allerdings nicht, was mit langem O und mit dem "gg" gemeint ist. ich finde kein langes O. und beim "gg" ist womöglich die intensität variabel; entsonorisiert ist der plosiv allemal. und jedenfalls ist die transkription nicht eng genug, um das zu behandeln - hielte ich in diesem kontext auch nicht für notwendig.

bei der ausssprache von rosegger ist die stelle des wortakzents unklar (erst- oder zweitsilbenbetonung) und zudem die angabe der vokalqualität der erstsilbe im duden mehrdeutig. ersteres ist etwa bei christine lavant ähnlich.

jetzt ist das eine m.w. häufige frage: wie spricht man rosegger aus? ROsegger oder roSEGger? und wenn jd. in der wikipedia nachsieht, könnte er/sie eine antwort finden, die nicht apodiktisch behauptet "so ist es richtig", sondern relativierend meint: "in seiner heimatgemeinde wird sein name so betont".

für nahezu den gesamten restlichen artikel sind keine quellen angegeben. warum soll der umstand, dass hier eine quelle die lokalisierung der angegebenen aussprachevariante erlaubt, ein problem sein? theoriefindung? nun, ich habe mir das glossar zu dem terminus in der wikipedia nicht angesehen, aber wenn ich ein foto hochlade und behaupte, das sei der bahnhof in favoriten, so habe ich damit doch keine theorie aufgestellt. und das würdest Du zensieren?

"eigentlich müsste ..." - nun, eben nicht. sieh nach im ÖAW. und der duden hat das oben angerissene problem.

in der englischsprachigen wikipedia sind ausspracheangaben zu eigennamen häufig und hilfreich. und zu rosegger soll das entfallen?

3. Meinung zu Nenning?

Magst Du Dir diese Diskussion anschauen? - Du hattest am 12. Februar 2012 ein am selben Tag eingebautes Nenning-Zitat mit dem Kommentar "Thema zwar relevant, Blog ist aber keine reputable Quelle" mit Recht gelöscht. Fast zwei Jahre später habe ich das selbe Zitat, nun respektabel bequellt, wieder eingepflegt. Weitere fast drei Jahre später haben Otberg dieses Zitat als "unpassend" bzw. "willkürlich ausgewählt", "ohne Kontext und "daneben", "weil es Nenning plump Sympathie für den Nationalsozialismus unterstellt". Jossi findet das Zitat "unpassend", gleichzeitig schreibt er aber: "Nenning hat gern provoziert und in seinen späteren Jahren heftig mit dem Nationalismus kokettiert." Kurz: Weil es ihrem verfestigten Vorurteil über Nenning widerspricht, purgieren sie sein Bild um eine gut belegte Fassette, deren legitimer Zweck in meinen Augen war, dieses spät (wieder-) entwickelte Extrem der politischen Spannweite Nennings zu dokumentieren. Seine gegensätzliche Rolle als linker Flügelmann der SPÖ-nahen Publikzistik, sozdem Gewerkschafter und die Wanderung ins Grüne sowie zur "Kronen-Zeitung" sind immerhin schon erfasst. Review of initial updates on Wikimedia movement strategy process

The Wikimedia movement is beginning a movement-wide strategy discussion, a process which will run throughout 2017. For 15 years, Wikimedians have worked together to build the largest free knowledge resource in human history. During this time, we've grown from a small group of editors to a diverse network of editors, developers, affiliates, readers, donors, and partners. Today, we are more than a group of websites. We are a movement rooted in values and a powerful vision: all knowledge for all people. As a movement, we have an opportunity to decide where we go from here.

This movement strategy discussion will focus on the future of our movement: where we want to go together, and what we want to achieve. We hope to design an inclusive process that makes space for everyone: editors, community leaders, affiliates, developers, readers, donors, technology platforms, institutional partners, and people we have yet to reach. There will be multiple ways to participate including on-wiki, in private spaces, and in-person meetings. You are warmly invited to join and make your voice heard.

The immediate goal is to have a strategic direction by Wikimania 2017 to help frame a discussion on how we work together toward that strategic direction.

Einladung zum Wiener Märzstammtisch

Hallo Braveheart,
Die Stammtisch-Tester sind wieder gefragt!

Im Zuge unseres Streifzuges auf der Suche nach einem neuen Stammtischlokal kehren wir am Do, dem 16. März 2017 ab 18h in das Lichtenthaler Bräu, 1090 Wien, Liechtensteinstraße 108 (direkt bei der Station Augasse der Linie-D bzw. ca. 10 Minuten zu Fuß von der Station Spittelau der U4 und U6) ein.

Wir würden uns freuen, wenn Du für diesen Stammtischtest Zeit hast. Selbstverständlich sind Angehörige und Freunde jeglicher Art willkommen!

A similar message was sent by Nicole Ebber to organized groups and their mailing lists on 15 of March 2017. This version of the message is available for translation and documentation purposes

Dear Wikimedians/Wikipedians:

Today we are starting a broad discussion to define Wikimedia's future role in the world and develop a collaborative strategy to fulfill that role. You are warmly invited to join the conversation.

There are many ways to participate, by joining an existing conversation or starting your own:

Track A (organized groups): Discussions with your affiliate, committee or other organized group (these are groups that support the Wikimedia movement).

Track B (individual contributors): On Meta or your local language or project wiki.

This is the first of three conversations, and it will run between now and April 15. The purpose of cycle 1 is to discuss the future of the movement and generate major themes around potential directions. What do we want to build or achieve together over the next 15 years?

We welcome you, as we create this conversation together, and look forward to broad and diverse participation from all parts of our movement.
