In den 70ern hatte La Düsseldorf einen "Hit" der sich in der "Hitparade international" des HR (Hessischen Rundfunks) unter den Top 10 plazierte.

Einfluss

OMD und andere Bands sagten, dass "La Düsseldorf" auf ihre Musik Einfluss nahmen (Interview in der Sendung Formel1 der ARD). Informationen dazu findet man bei "allmusic", allerdings unter Neu! die unter anderem schreiben:

La Dusseldorf rose to the heights of Europe's progressive rock scene of the late 1970s. Sales of their three albums — La Dusseldorf in 1976, Viva in 1978, and Individuellos in 1981 — totalled more than a million copies.
