Hello. I see that you added the image call Lsf.gif to the article titled nonlinear regression. I wonder if this is based on a misunderstanding of what nonlinear regression is. Among non-statisticians, it is often erroneously thought that linear regression is called "linear" simply because one is fitting a line. In fact, fitting a polynomial to a scatterplot in the way that this image appears to do, is also linear regression, because the vector of least-squares estimates of the coefficients depends in a linear way on the vector of y-values. 128.101.152.68 22:11, 26.
