Secrets (Band)
Vorlage:Infobox musical artist Secrets (stylized as SECRETS) is an American post-hardcore band from San Diego, California, formed in 2010. After being signed to Rise Records in 2011, Secrets released their debut full length album, The Ascent, in January 2012. This album was produced by Tom Denney, formerly of A Day to Remember.[1] The record debuted at #3 on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart and became the first Velocity Records release to appear on the Billboard Top 200, debuting at #185. Secrets has toured heavily since the release of The Ascent. They have toured with bands such as Sleeping With Sirens, Attack Attack!, and Escape The Fate;[2] they also appeared on the entire Scream It Like You Mean It Tour during 2012.
On April 20, 2013, lead vocalist Xander Bourgeois announced that he would be leaving the band, in order to focus on staying clean and sober. He also announced that he would be working on a new band that he feels will only succeed in his sobriety. On April 30, 2013, the band announced that their new vocalist would be Aaron Melzer, formerly of the local band Author and Finisher. Along with the vocalist announcement, the band shared a small clip of a new song off of their second album, Fragile Figures, which they recorded and released during Vans Warped Tour 2013.
On June 8, 2013, the band announced the release date for their second album Fragile Figures, would be July 23, 2013.[3] A new single, "Ready For Repair", was released alongside a music video on June 10.[4] A new song from the album, "Live Together, Die Alone", was released on June 25, 2013 as a promotional single.[5] iTunes preorders for the new album went up on June 30, 2013.[6] A new promotional single, "Maybe Next May", was released on July 5, 2013. It was also available for purchase as a single, unlike "Live Together, Die Alone", which was unavailable for purchase, and "Ready For Repair", which was available for purchase through an album preorder bundle.[7] Two promotional singles have since been released. On July 17, 2013, the album was released as an album stream, all songs on the album are available to listen in full.[8]
