Quantum Nondemolition Measurement
Erscheinungsbild
Quantum Nondemolition (QND) is a technique to indirectly measure a quantum system, without collapsing it. In a harmonic oscillator, the time evolution is periodic. Thus, once a measurement of position or momentum is made, later measurements of the same observable will not disturb the system if they are made after a time of an integer multiple of the natural period .
