(Untitled) Third Studio Album is the third album by Simple Plan. It is still unknown when it will be released.
History
Simple Plan set out to work on this album Febuary 2006. They had just finished their international touring and set out back home to begin the writing process. They wrote flat out till May, when they realised something wasn't right, they had been working with producer, Bob Rock, who had produced their last Album, Still Not Getting any.... Simple Plan stopped writing and started again with a new producer, which later turned out to be Dave Fortman.
So Simple plan were back writing with a new producer, their initial plan was to write until christmas time 2006, then hit the studio in January. This plan would have led them to a Mid- Spring release. For some reason, they got delayed and continued writing till late spring. In May and June 2007 Simple plan finshed writing and were addng the finishing touches to each song to try and make their best work yet.
The boys hit the studio on July 1 2007 and they began tracking. They started with drum tracking in L.A. after pre-production, then went back to Montreal to finish the rest off. At the end of September 2007, the band went back down to L.A. to mix the album, they worked with Chris Lord-Alge while mixing, then headed over to New York to finish the album off with the Mastering. Simple Plan officially fiished their third studio album on October 21.
Simple Plan announced that their first single, When I'm Gone, would be released on October 29, they posted this on their website and Myspace-

One week from now, on October 29th at 6:00pm est, Simple Plan will be premiering worldwide the brand new single “When I’m Gone” off of their upcoming record. To celebrate the event, Pierre, Chuck, Jeff, Seb and David will be hosting a LIVE webcast where there will not only be a World Premier of the new song, but the band will also be available for a Q&A session to discuss the new song, the new record and anything else that you can think of asking. During the chat, you’ll also have the opportunity to purchase the single through ITunes as well as preorder the album through Lala.com.
The chat will be live and will only air once, on October 29th, at 6pm EST (3pm PST).
