"Green Light" is an R&B/funk song written by Sean Garrett and Beyoncé Knowles for Knowles' second studio album B’Day. Produced by Pharrell Williams and Beyoncé, the song has been confirmed to be the fifth UK single and will be released July 30 2007.[1] As of Late June 2007, the Freemasons Remix of the song had been added to the C Playlist at Radio 1, the UKs leading radio company.[2]
Music video
The music video was directed by Melina and Beyoncé and was one of the eight previously unseen music videos on Knowles' video album, B’Day Anthology Video Album. The music video was inspired by Robert Palmer's music video Addicted to Love and Madonna's Human Nature. Beyoncé, herself has called the video 'amazing' and said it was the toughest video to shoot. [3][4]
On UK music channel, The Box, the music video made it to #7 on Box Breakers - Most Selected music videos.
A 1-minute music video for "Kitty Kat" serves as the intro for Green Light on the B'Day Anthology Video Album.
