Myrath

Myrath, Also known as X-Tazy, Is a progressive metal band from Tunisia formed in 2001.

Biography

The guitarist Malek Ben Arbia (age 13 years) formed X-Tazy in 2001 two of his childhood friends: Fahmi Chakroun (drums) and Oualid Issaoui (guitar) who were 14 years old each.^[1] Then they recruited Zaher Ben Hamoudia Bass guitar and Tarek Idouani vocalist. During thier first two years, the band played covers of other bandsblues heavy metal and death metal.

In 2003, Elyes Bouchoucha, Who just gratuated from Conservatoire national de musique de Tunis, joined the band as a Keyboardist and a singer to replace Idouani Issawi while the second was leaving the band. With this new composition, Myrath did numerous concerts of other bands cover's (often pieces of Symphony X which is their favorite band).

After several years, they began to create their own music in a progressive metal style influenced by Oriental music.In March 2005, after several changes of members, the band released Double Face,an album produced by the group itself and come out in Tunisia. In December 2006, the band released Hope with Kevin Codfert (keyboardist of Adagio met during a rock festival in Tunisia) Who is responsible for the production. With this album, the group became known abroad. With this album, the group became known abroad..

In June 2007, Zaher Zorgati, considered the best metal Tunisian singer, joined the band as a vocalist.
