Parque Patricios is a barrio located on the southern side of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Parque Patricios underwent a transformation during the beginning of the 1900's. The government eliminated the main slaughterhouse, refuse piles, trash incinerators and the yellow fever cemetery. Parks, a zoo and hospitals were put in their place. Parque Patricios received its name from the park of the same name located in the neighborhood.
This barrio is home to many hospitals which house patients from all parts of Argentina, as well as the notorious Caseros Prison (in Spanish Cárcel de Caseros). It is host to the Club Atlético Huracán, a National B Division football (soccer) team, and their stadium Estadio Tomás Adolfo Ducó.
The neighborhood is bordered by barrios Barracas and Nueva Pompeya on the South, Constitución on the East, San Cristóbal on the North, and Boedo on the West.
