Im Web gibt es eine Reihe von Bildergalerien, deren Bilder sich im Gemeineigentum, auch auch als Public Domain bekannt, befinden.

Diese Liste zählt einige dieser Galerien auf. Die Anwesenheit eines Eintrags hier bedeutet nicht, dass jedes Bild der Galerie Teil des Gemeineigentums ist, du musst also weiterhin den Urheberrechtsstatus des Bildes überprüfen, bevor du es auf Wikipedia hochlädst.

Die englischsprachige Version dieser Liste könnte unter Umständen vollständer sein - wenn du hier also nicht fündig wirst, überprüf auch diese.

Dover Publications has many, many books of copyright-free illustrations. Search on "copyright-free", "clip art" or "Pictorial Archive". These are hard copy and would have to be scanned, but they cover everything. You have to buy the books or borrow them from the library; the art is free. Here are just a few examples:
