One Piece: Grand Adventure for the Sony PlayStation 2 and the Nintendo GameCube is an American made sequel to the original game, One Piece Grand Battle! (known in Japan as One Piece: Grand Battle Rush!). Based on the popular comic series, One Piece, Grand Adventure contains more characters, levels, and features, some of which were cut out of the U.S. localization, due to the fact that the televised airings hadn't revealed certain characters.

Adventure Mode
One of the new features in Grand Adventure is Adventure mode, which allows you to sail the Grand Line and visit various islands from the One Piece anime, similar to The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker (though unlike The Wind Waker, you will be able to select certain "hotspots" and sail there automatically). On these islands, the character will engage in combat against other One Piece characters, who if defeated may join your character's crew, or play in various mini-games. In the fights, characters gain experience points and can level up, where the player can level up certain stats of the character (HP, attack, defense, etc.).
Differences
Unlike the previous game, this game has new things, most of the editing conflicts are gone, (i.e the "Marine" gates now say "Navy") the arenas have gone through various changes, and character movements have changed. Every satge has an alternate version with a different "stage quirk" (the thing in the level you can you to your advantage). Here is a list of the changes.
Stages
- Drum Castle: Dalton is at the gate, the snow is now pink, and the Jolly Roger flag is also present. The alternate version is sat during the day, and there are snowmen littered around the stage.
- Arlong Park: Pillars are not broken anymore.
- Roguetown: Marines will change the shape of the barricades constantly.
- Alabasta: Now has grass rather than sand, a barrel rolls now and again leaving oil on the ground. The alternate version is the same as the last time.
- Foxy Pirate Ship: Is referred to as a generic Pirate Ship, and Big Pan has been replaced with Brogy.
- Maxim:...
Features
- There is now a swing feature. You can swing containers and giant items (Mr. 4's bat or a beam-like sword that uses a Dial) at enemies instead of just throwing them.
- The game now has an all support system, so any fighter can use any support.
- Luffy seems to have his Gomu Gomu no Cannon from the Water 7 arc, but it appears his default is still Storm.
- There is now a Arena Mode.
- Updated graphics and attack effects.
- There is now a Pirates King outfit for Monkey D. Luffy
- The character menu now positions them with their suitable opponents (Example: Luffy is placed across from Sir Crocodile).
- The fruit are now coins, gold etc.
- When the secret attack is used instead of the last game's health dependance, this game involves a Rock, Paper, Scissors type game (Othan than the fact it's Knowledge, Technique, Strength).
(There may be unlockable outfits for the villians, since this is an upgrade of One Piece Grand Battle.)
Characters
- Luffy: shirt is unbuttoned, hat is off already off, (in normal outfit) Victory Pose: Jumps up in the air and points fist at camera. Afro Luffy is a likely possibility.

Trivia
- This is the very first One Piece game to ever include Kuina and/or Red-Shoe Zeff as playable characters, also Kuina is the youngest and first deceased One Piece character to have ever been included in a One Piece game.
